Andrew Jackson House

GAR Foundation is located in the recently renovated Andrew Jackson House, located at 277 East Mill Street in Akron, Ohio.

The historic property was fully restored in 2009 by The Chesler Group, a historic property solutions company based in Cleveland.  For further information on The Chesler Group, please go to www.cheslergroup.com.

The ballroom of this historic home is available for community use. Nonprofit organizations and businesses may use the meeting space according to availability and guidelines.  For more info, please download the updated rental and use policies (PDF). Did You Know?

The Andrew Jackson House was built circa 1868 in the Second Empire style as a family home for an Akron lumber magnate.

This highly stylized mansion features large rooms, 12-foot ceilings, historic woodwork, ample storage and unique private open space with skylights on the loft level. Besides GAR Foundation, the property is also home to the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation's Akron office.

The ballroom is available to non-profit and for-profit organizations wishing to host meetings and events.
