Arts & Culture
Over the past two years, GAR Foundation grants have helped non-profit arts and culture organizations, large and small, to enrich the lives of area residents through art, music, theatre, dance, and history. In 2006, GAR helped bring some of the region’s richest cultural assets to audiences in Summit County. For example, Foundation funding supported Great Lakes Theater Festival’s Shakespeare outreach programs in local libraries and community centers and Apollo’s Fire baroque music concerts at local churches. Also, GAR provided special support for the 2006 Blossom Festival family performances of Bugs Bunny on Broadway and The Wizard of Oz.
