Lucille Esposito, a native of Summit County, began her professional career as an educator, having taught elementary, high school, and at the university level. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English and History from the University of Akron and a Masters of Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University. Her postgraduate work was completed at John Carroll University.

Throughout her tenure as an educator, she received several awards, including: Teacher of the Year, Ashland Oil Golden Apple Teacher of the Year, University of Akron Pixley Scholar, and Jennings Foundation Scholar. Lucille was also among 800 educational administrators who traveled to China to meet in Beijing to discuss educational reform.

Lucille served as Chairperson of the Board of Directors for Girls on the Run Northeast Ohio, and she volunteers at Ronald McDonald House of Akron, Archbishop Hoban High School, and Kelly’s Grief Center of Portage County. She also serves on many committees in her church. Her most recent award in volunteering and leadership is the Hoban Knight Award from Archbishop Hoban High School.

Lucille lives in Silver Lake Village with her husband Ralph. They are proud parents to two children and proud grandparents to four grandchildren.

Believe it or not: Lucille does not cook, even though she and Ralph serve the community through fundraising dinners. However, she knows how to set a table. Her mantra is “Ambience! Ambience! Ambience!”
